I know the answer already, but I have to ask – why go this route, Mustard? Why not ask her directly? You don’t even have to spill everything – just a simple, “hey, I think there’s more going on with this than meets the eye. Could you help me?” would go so far. And even if you did spill the beans – don’t you think that she, of all people, might understand?
But no. You go this route. Why?
Because you’re scared.
I mean, I can see why she doesn’t want anyone to know she’s investigating extraofficially for personal reasons. The few people she could trust with keeping the secret would probably try to stop her for her own good.
I feel like panel 1 is where Livewire realizes (or should, at least) that this is Mustard, because who else would know she’s Oats, other than Mustard and Binky? They were the only ones to know she was a mole other than Snow Queen, and both Binky and Snow Queen are gone. So unless Livewire thinks this is another mole, she has to know that this is Mustard. Which, on Mustard’s part, ruins the whole point of her disguise, if that’s what’s she’s going for. She has to know that Livewire would realize, but she’s too scared and angry to think of the consequences of what she’s doing. Because there’s no way Livewire won’t say something to someone, even is it’s just Fuschia and the gang. Is Mustard prepared for the consequences of her actions, does she even care?? Because regardless of the the short term outcome of the interaction, the long term isn’t going to be good
So what side will Fuchsia take, when she’s eventually coming out to check what’s keeping LW so long? Especially if she recognizes a superior officer. “Sorry, Agent Mustard, won’t happen again”?
First of all, DAMN this chapter has had a lot of dark bits! I’m loving the tone shift.
Secondly, does anyone else think this outfit kind of makes Mustard look like the Marionette from FNaF 2?
Damn, Mustard angry as hell
Honestly, get her ass Livewire.

Oh, so that makeup is why this chapter is called “Tears of a Clown!”
One may hope… There are opportunities galore for “real” pain!
Also the angst.
Okay that’s actually a really badass line from Livewire though
Got to say never underestimate a clown called Livewire for nothing.

I wonder if with Punished Mustard we’ll finally learn her routine.

Mustard really forgot how competent of a clown Livewire is
“she needs to be locked up” bold words from Livewire for a recently rehabilitated member of the same cult Echo is a part of
