This chapter has really been focused on what being a Clown in the Corps is. How it seems to overwrite every other part of your identity, define who you are and what you do and how youre perceived. How its shifted people’s goals and priorities around, corrupting them away from what they were.
Almost everyone we’ve grown to know in the series has rejected the Corps changing them in this chapter, culminating in McBell finally abandoning her wig because being a hero is more important than being a clown. Ringmaster might have been wrong in a lot of ways, but his core critique of the superhero shtick wasnt.
Its a very mature topic that is well lampshaded by the slapstick and goofiness of the folks around them.
I love her so fucking much.
careful. that’s how she gets you(r fortune)!
Bout. You have the chance to do the funniest malicious compliance move ever. Please prove me wrong on thinking you won’t.
That last panel Juniper is great
Everything’s coming up Juniper!
“New speedrun record!”
OML YES
wow she doesnt even have to kill this one herself!!! score!!!
Good for her
Three cheers for Woman’s Wrongs!
I wonder if Bout is starting to understand why someone might want to kill the mayor
He could probably save everyone a lot of trouble if he just let them do it.
”Oops, they overcame me with numbers.”
I wonder if Bout is starting to understand why Binky quit rather than put up with these…lifeforms.
But hey, maybe he’ll protect the mayor and discover the next phase of his style.
his boss told him to leave them be, what’s he gonna do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No no, they’ve got a point
Marriage any%
You heard the man, Bout. Let them finish their pissing contest of who can kill the major harder.
Great idea! After all, there is no need to bicker amongst yourselves about whether or not you can make it to the wedding if it’s a funeral instead.
Also, much easier to pick out flowers than a wedding present.
Wow. This is somehow worse than before
He should just. Let them kill the mayor…happy ending for everyone
There goes Burke, making things difficult for working-class clowns again.
Also working class-clowns.
A working class bozo is something to be.
Can’t arrest them if they haven’t committed a crime! And he TOLD Bout to leave them be.
WHERE’S THE UPDATE?!
didnt see the description lol
