Took his daughter to a grown-up party she had no interest in, when he’d promised to take her to the arcade, on her birthday, then left to get drunk(er), leaving her with a caretaker she’s hiding under the table from, with a plate of food she can’t eat, because he doesn’t remember his daughter’s allergy. Dad of the year.
Could it, perchance, be that success is a very nuanced thing with an extremely variable meaning? And that as a college freshman, Bout doesn’t have a decent grasp of what it actually entails and what his personal definition of success truly is?
Nah, Bout’s a son with strong influence from his father. In that case “success” means:
1: Be awesome just like dad’s awesome. (In this case that means being an A+ grade clown.)
2: Have Binky be proud of him. (Or at least impressed at how good a clown he is.)
That’s what he really wants. Doing other things and impressing other people (like Anethesia, McBell, Ollie, the Dean, the Mayor, etc.) is nice, but not really satisfying.
According to my intuition, right now it seems like he’s got the first part, (or at least the look of it) and he thought he’d get the second part, (Dad’s approval) but dad just shut him down. And while sure, he fired back at Binky that he’s good enough on his own, he still places a lot of weight on Binky’s opinion. That’s what he really wants, and that’s what’s weighing him down now.
I’m glad Skateboard Dave ain’t letting the bit die. Keep it alive, man. Keep it alive.
You did! It was the meeting when Director Snowqueen got ousted and the Mayor put his toadie in charge of the corps.
Also glad to see that Cardigan probably isn’t getting poisoned worse than expected for alcohol consumption.
ollie thinks he and bout are competing and thinks hes winning. bout doesnt think theyre competing but he does think hes losing
OLLIE 😀
Here’s to Dean, the unsung hero! Does he even know what closing time means?
“You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here.”
What type of being skates off a cliff ?!? I mean even a clown can’t be that crazy to do it.

This was not supposed to be a reply, my bad. Don’t seem to be able to delete it.
At this rate, she’ll start to idolize Mcbell and grow up to lead a life of crime.
The Kid could use a friend. Even if the circumstances are not ideal to her liking and she has to face her own fears head on.
McBell: And… the shrimp is still standing!
Dear Joe-
You spelled “aneurysm” wrong.
Crapfully yours,

Bout’s doing a good job at an increasingly bad game.
Bout is seriously climbing my Clown Corps tier list.
Cardigan will not be very helpful is something happens.
Cardigan is the only person in the building trained to handle the bazookas that everyone is wielding.
Bout is channeling every millennial who entered the job market around 2007-2008.
Could it, perchance, be that success is a very nuanced thing with an extremely variable meaning? And that as a college freshman, Bout doesn’t have a decent grasp of what it actually entails and what his personal definition of success truly is?
Nawh, that’s silly.

At least, that’s how I read it.
I feel that, Bout. I really do. Unfortunately it’s an endless cycle…
Who is gonna be more traumatized? Bout, Chief Dipstick’s daughter, Mustard, or Dean Squeaky?
No matter who it actually is, Junior will insist it’s Junior.
