There is this century-old advice to writers to “kill your darlings”. It REFERS to words, sentences or paragraphs, but it can be easily applied to characters as well- and Mustard is definitely a darling! I don’t think that Maggie will be doing the deed, but there still is a certified killer in the building! Who hates clowns!
How do you think Mustard does that tear-smeared-makeup look? Does she do her domino-mask makeup and then cut onions, or does she smear the tear-streaks manually, or has she just not redone her makeup since her Dark Poupon era started?
What? If Mustard leaves, then how will we get the convoluted scenario where Mcbell and Bout team up to defend the Mime from Binky and Mustard while the mayor robs the auction??
