At least Bout’s being used in the “being polite to annoying people” kind of way, instead of the “ruin your life and lose all your friends” kind of way.
Our protagonists for this side are both miserable; here’s hoping this arc spells the end of both McBell’s shitty former crew AND the mayor in some capacity
I have to be honest, I genuinely did not expect McBell to do this.
I mean, it’s realistic if you think about it, but I thought that her old friends had already served their narrative purpose and if she ever went back to her thieving ways, it wouldn’t be with them, you know?
I don’t want McBell to fall back into villainy! My only hope: the elaborate joke is to stick it to the establishment and her former friends at the same time (who she has avowedly NOT kicked in the nuts, by the looks of it…) But what are the chances?
. . . I’m starting to suspect this is actually happening, and McBell *isn’t* running a sting operation with the explicit blessing of the Corps. Goddamn.
Also, Bout, buddy, the phrase is “free rein”. I know “free reign” looks better on the page and subtly conveys that they’re taking advantage of the sovreignty McBell is channeling as an officer of the law, and they sound the same out loud so who cares . . . but c’mon man, you don’t use homophones around someone with medium awareness, that’s just asking to be (further) derailed.
The word of the day is: Deflection!
McBell somehow coming out of this with a negative amount of legs to stand on
McBell’s going to do whatever the opposite of standing is.
Falling, I guess? That answer sounds boring but also accurate.
McBell, you’re counting your F-bombs, and I’m counting your L’s!
It would have been hilarious if bout had used the actual “fuck” word and ruined it for McBell forever
re: Alt-text: Wow, I don’t remember the 4th wall being broken from THIS side! Take that, McBell!
Chekov’s f-bomb now.
Yeah something tells me that they’re both being used.

You could argue he’s being used in the “ruin your relationship with your dad” kind of way.

Plot twist: Vince is elected mayor for his razor wit, and the current mayor runs off with all the auction items.
lol yes

Congrats on going meta with the meta.
And somehow this must end with Bout and Mcbell teaming up to fight Binky and Mustard.
