Uhhhhh… So~ most people are reading that last panel as Fuch flirting. And, yes, I did question if maybe it were at first. But then I thought about the lead up, and I’m not so sure. Especially since Fuchsia is generally depicted being abnormally focused on her science with only a side hint of her pursuing crushes, much more directly.
As such, are people sure it’s not just Fuchsia being protective/defensive about her scientific endeavors? Because, it wouldn’t take much to take Wire’s comment as being derisive; even if Wire didn’t ask in such a tone of voice.
So to me, Fuchsia’s face in the last panel is less lustful, and more scorn filled.
This was also how I interperted it. I think the joke is that Livewire correctly guessed what the conffeti hammer is and now Fuchsia is believes Livewire is stealing her trade secrets. This is nonsensical however that’s what makes it funny. You wouldn’t expect Fuschsia to put a cannon on a stick and her threatening reaction both contradicts her friendly nature, but is completely in line with her competitivness. Sorry about the spelling

I don’t think so, no. Oats never actually worked directly with the student clowns, so they didn’t meet in costume.

It’s so amazing, after seeing Fuchsias vulnerable side and her caregiving (it was a very affectionate sweeping), she can be kinda badassish as well!
