The more durable they are, the funnier it is when something innocuous pops them. Granted, the more they get popped, the less funny it is, but there’s still a clear upper limit on how durable these balloons can be.
I’m not a metallurgist or an engineer but I feel like dropping a great big satellite dish on a bunch of tubes made of very thin steel might destroy those too.

I think clowns would develop the tech for blowing up balloons really fast before teleportation.
