sheer dumb luck saving a plan does not make it a good one. the quality of a plan is determined by the level of risk it mitigates with the resources available

he hired a student as his bodyguard to spite the kid’s father, being lucky enough that said kid is extremely competent doesn’t negate the fact that is was a horrendously bad plan
