Sometimes you see the pile of rubble falling, but are so darn mad you can't even dodge. It's a real phenomenon, look it up. Anyway RIP Mustard

Why would the Corp need bombs at all?

How many bombs do they /need/? Zero. How many bombs that do nothing but flood an area in fun confetti do they /want/? As many as they can possibly make.

Tactical use of a rapidly spreading substance, like smoke or confetti, allows you to obfuscate movements and confuse your opponent. The Confetti Bomb is one such option, and it on theme as it’s comically large and comically shaped.

If the Corp were to drop the whole “Clown” motif they’d be a hell of a paramilitary organization.

This is a great example of how far the Clown Corp has drifted from its original purpose. They were originally firemen who wore clown makeup to not scare kids. At most they were emergency responders, not private security, or paramilitary with a need for tactical ordinance. Bombs, cannons, and cutting edge teleportation tech is way beyond their original intent.

Agreed. And sadly, first responders going bizarrely paramilitary is not confined to the realm of clown shounen.

That said, is there any organization that *wouldn’t* be better off with cutting-edge teleportation tech?

Could be worse, it could have been modified into a glitter bomb instead!

At what point is a confetti bomb modified enough that we can’t keep calling it a confetti bomb?

it’s just a confetti bomb that sources externally, ie out of the building or opponent.

Shrapnels are a type of very sharp confetti, if you don’t look at it from too close.

When the exterior doesn’t have the blue and pink coloration anymore, obviously.

..Say, it’s kinda weird that this bomb doesn’t have a mime color scheme. What do you think are the chances the clowns at the auction recieved modified bazookas?

At the point where you extract the confetti, methinks.

Maggie and Morgan represent the opposite position on the Clown Corps to McBell. McBell is disillusioned with the corps as a whole, but still believes in individual ability to be a hero. Morgan was (if we accept these flashbacks as true, which im willing to do) saved by the Corps. She managed to mature and change for the better when she joined up after her sister ‘died’. Maggie was the idealist who wanted to join the Corps and be a hero, and her disillusionment with the idea was part of her radicalization process. Its not fair that she had to become an “evil mime” while her sister got to go be a hero. Theyve almost flipped positions from their younger days.
