In case you missed the public patreon post about it, Clown Corps is going on an extended hiatus. This is partly so I can prep for the big final chapter, and partly so I can focus on some other projects for a bit.
I’ve got a very ambitious list of comic books I want to make someday, and I’ve got a pretty good idea which ones I want to work on during the upcoming months. I figured I’d do a quick run-down to keep y’all in the loop.
First up: a follow-up to my 2023 comic, The Pride of Pumpkin Boy. It’s a brand new action-packed adventure in which Katie has a birthday party, Jed hangs out with his grandma, and Ivy gets pissed off.

I’d also love to make one or two of those wacky fan comics I’m known for. I haven’t decided which subjects to focus on yet, but my top contenders are Phineas and Ferb, King of the Hill, Frasier again, Elden Ring, and of course, my man Shrek.

So, I’ve been threatening to make a comic series about magicians for years, right? Well I want to do an itty bitty one-shot to demonstrate what that might look like. I’m not too far along with this one, but if I can at least finish a script and some character designs, I’ll be happy.

And finally, a project that’s become very important to me: an earnest retelling of Cinderella. You’re just gonna have to trust me on this one. My notes document for this comic contains some of the best shit I’ve ever written. It’s pushing graphic novel length, so it definitely won’t be finished before the clowns are back, but I want to start making a little progress.

So when will the clowns be back? It’s too early to be picking dates, but I’m determined to return to clown town before 2026 is over. Not saying I’ll intentionally wait until next December, I’m just giving myself some breathing room because a.) my mental health sometimes takes big greedy bites outta my time on this earth, and b.) comics always seem easier to make when you’re still just daydreaming about them.
Concept art and progress updates for the comics mentioned above, and eventually the comics themselves, will appear on my patreon before anyplace else. If you aren’t into patreon but still want to support my efforts/dreams/madness, I’ve also got a ko-fi.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s ever taken a chance on my dopey little comic books. It means everything to me. Now, time for this clown to get to work!
