In reply to Tumach. Eh, I’m firmly in camp “you aren’t responsible for the unforeseeable domino effect resulting from your actions”, and that goes for positive results as well as negative. If you run a pedestrian over with your car you don’t get to pretend to be a hero if it turns out that person was a murderer, and if you abuse your authority to force someone into babysitting duty you don’t get to take credit for preventing their secret schemes.
