Binky, facing his own decision from two days ago, may be about to take on the impossible challenge of ‘opening up’.
I half-expect that Anaestesia has already lined up another “STOP DEFLECTING, JACKASS” message in expectation of where this conversation is about to go. Probably arriving by carrier pigeon.
To be fair, she probably doesn’t realize how strained it is. Neither Binky nor Bout seem like they’d casually tell Mustard about the tension between them.
“Hey, maybe you should not give up on everything and everyone just because you found out that the system you work in is corrupt at its core.”

There’s a sort of middle road in between. You do need to be able to recognize the right moment to walk away from Omelas, so to speak, but refusing to be a pawn doesn’t mean disappearing from other people’s lives. Binky might have absolutely fumbled with his son, but his instinct to inform his son about the corruption was right.
Binky finds himself in the awkward position of arguing someone back into a system that he himself abandoned as unsalvageable two days ago.
Keep going, you two. Keep going.

Her actual clowning routine is predicting the future (only when it’s funny)
Yikes not only did she mention the first name , but did he also had to remind him of his strained relationship with his son ?

Not to mention, the tension only happened *today*. This is the first time Mustard and Binky have talked since Binky quit.
Technically, he mentioned HER first name first . .
This is what it looks like when your trauma takes the wheel.
Why didn’t Mustard ask for your help, James? I remember you saying you two aren’t friends, remember? Jackass.
How long has it been since you last slept, Mustard?
