Yeah, I debated being more precise with my language ('yield' instead of 'worth', probably say 'calf' instead of cow to imply a smaller animal) and also trying to do the math, and then I decided that was more effort then I wanted to expend on a throwaway comment about a webcomic character eating a lot of burgers

In reply to Thag Simmons. Not unless the butcher was very sloppy. Assuming each burger patty was around 100 grams, thirty would be around 0.6% of a live cow's mass. I know bones and stuff make up some of that mass, but not 99.4%.
