This was also how I interperted it. I think the joke is that Livewire correctly guessed what the conffeti hammer is and now Fuchsia is believes Livewire is stealing her trade secrets. This is nonsensical however that’s what makes it funny. You wouldn’t expect Fuschsia to put a cannon on a stick and her threatening reaction both contradicts her friendly nature, but is completely in line with her competitivness. Sorry about the spelling

Livewire has previously (maybe currently) had a crush on Fusica.

As such, are people sure it’s not just Fuchsia being protective/defensive about her scientific endeavors? Because, it wouldn’t take much to take Wire’s comment as being derisive; even if Wire didn’t ask in such a tone of voice.

So to me, Fuchsia’s face in the last panel is less lustful, and more scorn filled.

I don’t think so, no. Oats never actually worked directly with the student clowns, so they didn’t meet in costume.

She likely doesn’t- she is smart, so she may have figured it out in the meantime, but she at the very least seemed to be unaware when she was helping her come up with a new outfit and name.
