I appreciate this riff and am adopting it as headcanon.

I mean, real life is a setting where punching through drywall is trivial and punching through some kinds of wood or brick walls is attainable. It’s the superleaps that are the main silly strength-related thing, at least that I recall.
Meanwhile, I think some kinds of performance enhancers (basically all the ones I know about that aren’t just stimulants) are kinda neat, actually, whereas recreational drugs have scary brain effects. (And vastly more expensive ones than getting really into meditation.)
