They’re quite common names, so if they’re supposed to be a reference to someone you’d probably have to ask “which Mary and David?”

The only one that springs to mind is the biblical one, in which case Mary married a male-line descendant of David but not David himself. So IF bout somehow had a great-great-great-grandson, maybe there’d be something.
