Genuinely the most impressive thing this comic does is regularly constructing strong dramatic moments that only work because of the ridiculous comedic premise.
Lifting the hair up to show the edges of the make-up while she’s delivering that line is so effective, and it’s only possible because of the whole superhero clown idea.
I love how much this mirror-inverts the earlier bar-scene where McBell was in her civvies and Morgan was suited up as Mustard when they first discussed Maggie.
