It also feels like the kind of thing that would be a joke in a circus. Look at the clown, sharing her umbrella with someone who doesn’t need it and getting herself all wet in the process…

…but with the context of who she’s sharing it with, it’s not quite so funny. I love how this comic plays with the clown theme

That her colour scheme and even the umbrella have this level of symbolism for her is so spot on with how many things in clown work go.
