Turns out Aunt Rita was processing her own emotions of her sister dying in an unhealthy manner, developed incredible control issues in her grief while also wanting to care for her sister’s child, regretted every slap but couldn’t muster the self-control to stop herself in the heat of the moment, and is incredibly proud of Fuschia but can’t find a way to tell her in a way that doesn’t sound self-aggrandizing, so she supports from afar.

Just watch, Joe will have you sympathize with her too.

As only great art can, this site makes me question myself: How the heck can it be that 9 little pictures are enough to turn my opinion of the three non-musketeers 180 degrees?! (Ok, let’s say 105 degrees).
