Binky’s theory is that Echo needs time to learn new Routines and has to train like everyone else, rather than — say — having an ability that lets her immediately pick up a clown’s Routine as soon as she sets eyes on them. Gus needed to take his time on the Clown Corps to give Echo long enough to train. Does that make sense?
