In reply to Mozai. Depends on how expensive each summon is (in terms of electricity or whatever other resource the gloves use), at a certain threshold it would be unjustifiably costly to use the tech for office supplies.

In reply to countzero. Well, Oats tells her her backstory in pages 50-51. So they probably didn't give her any specifics, but the combination of her backstory and the "I had my chance" line might've made her enough hints to fashion a lasso weapon for her.

In reply to Mozai. I figure gloves are part of the uniform, like makeup and rubber noses. Office-wear gloves might or might not have teleportation circuits, but office supplies would make sense :)
