He appears to be cryptofash, or on the way there, given the whole mention of “social justice warrior” (read: “Uppity ,” since that’s basically all it means when people use it as an insult — people used to get called that for just *discussing their personal experiences with racism, sexism, etc.*) so he probably can’t easily wrap his head around things like trust, or belief that people might be capable of change. It’s a really vile ideology that requires constantly thinking the worst of all people.

I’d imagine that it’s not unconditional trust. But if someone shows up and says “I’m a spy, I want to switch sides and become a double agent into a group you have NO information about” you’re really stuck with having to walk a tightrope. Even if clowns aren’t involved.
