I had this plot twist spoiled for me. (Can’t complain too hard; that blog is how I know this comic exists in the first place.) And then I remembered it wrong. The whole time I’ve been reading the archive I thought Echo was McBell’s sister and the whole “Mustard’s sister” thing was a misdirect.

This is the option that made more sense, but it still feels cheap that there isn’t any substantive link with McBell after all the coding… unless there is.
