I love how the grey clown (sorry, I don’t know his name), is running off to get macaroni salad. I want to see an image, even if it isn’t in the comic of him running about with a bowl of salad with the noodles and pimentos flying out. It just makes me smile.
Thanks for giving him such personality and adding such needed humor during such serious sets. The heart of the clown 🙂
So, McBell has been having trouble “finding” her schtick because she’s been using it the entire time? Her Schtick is Improv? Which, I’ve been thinking since the start of this arc, but kinda haven’t wanted to comment…
Reminds me of the (now defunct) hero shooter, “Battleborn.”
One of the characters, Shayne & Aurox, was a paired up bratty teen brawler and her pet/captive rock demon. One of the custom skins available was called “Fun & Games,” that dressed her in clown makeup, and turned him into a monstrous balloon animal.
I kinda wonder if it’s like Nemesis from Grrl Power. He can counter anything thrown at him…but not everything thrown at him, all at once. Echo shines in one-on-one fights, but facing multiple routines simultaneously might be her undoing. Or even technology she doesn’t have access to, it’s hard to copy a weapon that’s only just been invented.
It looks like they’re gonna let McBell do her thing this time around, but maybe if they have to face her again down the line they’ll try different angles, knowing what she can do. Really looking forward to seeing how McBell’s gonna weasel her way out of this one! (My guess is comically small pin.)
“That macaroni salad thing won’t pay off immediately. But it *will* pay off.”

Here’s hoping she doesn’t go all Kaworu on this situation.
I am getting some Deadpool v. Taskmaster vibes here.

It deserved so much better. T_T
