Reminds me of a video I saw some years ago talking about the Dragon Ball manga, where Toriyama drew a character dodging on the right side of his attack to suggest that the character moved out of the way before the attacker even swung, or vise versa to suggest a last-second evasive maneuver.

Reverse that since English comics are read from left to right, and you get this. You see Mime slap the pie out of the way before you see McBell throw the pie. Mime&#039;s not reacting at the last second, she&#039;s proacting. Or something.]]></description>
