I mean, there was a whole side sequence about her wanting to stay up-to-date on the case. I do think they’re discounting the possibility that there isn’t a mole, or at least not an on-screen one, and some combination of their offices, cars, and clothing are just bugged. I’d certainly want to compromise one or more of their mechanics, were I running something like this.
But Oats being the mole, and possibly also Mime Girl, does seem horribly plausible right now…
