Okay, now I’m *convinced* that Doc (the guy clown from the lab) is the mole. He had the ability to create the teleportation tech for the shadow circus, he’s one of the only two unaccounted for people who had information about the peanut factory raid, and he personally directed Binky and Mustard to talk to Soto, who we now have suspicion about whether she was a real detective to begin with. I’ve got a corkboard with red string and it’s all coming up Doc.
You had me almost convinced. Especially with the question who gave the Shadow Circus teleportation tech. But then I think, the most probable mole might be Bunsen: She tried to dismiss the peanut-factory-theory as ludicrous (thereby defending the secrecy of the place); she defended Platt; she is on best terms with Agent Mustard and so maybe with others, so it would be easy for her to get the date of the factory-raid; and she seems to have recognised Fuchsia’ s experiment as an unsanctioned teleportation experiment. She even tried to dissuade Binky from contacting Officer Soto!
But neither Doc nor Bunsen knew of Oats as a double-agent, did they? So there must be a third mole!
OR there is another tech-genius on Platt’s payroll and the mole is (in decreasing order of probability):
– Angel the Cat (but not Agent Raspberry- he’s cool…)
– Director Snowqueen. She might even be my prime suspect now. It would have been easy for her to give the lab’ s developements to Platt’s scientists, especially if ordered so by the mayor. And why did she stonewall Agent Mustard?
– Anesthesia (unlikely: She wouldn’t endanger Binky or any clown, would she?)
It’s kinda hard to explain to someone who isn’t seeing it happen, but some coffee maker lids are weird and will spout that damn coffee in angles that don’t seem to obey the laws of physics quite properly (they do obey the laws of physcis, our monkey brains just can’t deal with it well)
Oh yes, you’re right (been there), but I was thinking of the coffee IN the pot. The level shouldn’t taper off that way unless Morgan is swirling the pot back and forth. Maybe it’s a superhero thing to stay focused or maybe “vigilant” (snicker…)
“Lots of good detectives at the bottom of the river these days.” I say, looking down from my flatiron window out to the muddy brown harbor.
~The light had begun to fade, but the last rays were lending the water a fine sparkle, almost like glitter. Like the tears of a clown.~
I cannot condone taking the law into One’s own hands… in public.
Whaaat? Was Soto a lie? But we saw her make coffee! Coffee is no lie! Coffee is truth!
Either Soto was a lie, or Chief Dougherty was lying.

I thought *Oats* was the mole?
They established a while back that there’s still another mole, since Oats didn’t leak that Binky and Mustard were going to the peanut factory.

So someone dirty is getting rid of lose ends and nosy detectives. Sounds like these clowns have their work cut out for them.
To concentrate on the really important questions:
How strong is this coffee? It seems to have the consistency of honey!

sry
Anyone going to comment on how there’s actual police in this world, but clown firefighters have the crime fighting tech?
Mustard, honey, chill, you’d look like your mime sister too if you hadn’t eaten anything but soup for a decade or so.
Nooooo, I liked Soto! And now she’s either dead or wasn’t a detective at all…
